Speech Revolutions LLC ("Speech Revolutions," "we," "us") operates the Speech Revolutions batch speech-to-text API and related websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our services.

Information we collect

  • Account information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
  • Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Audio files: Uploaded temporarily for transcription processing.
  • Usage data: API request metadata, job IDs, minutes processed, and error logs for billing and service improvement.
  • Website data: Standard cookies and analytics on our marketing site.

How we use your information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the transcription API
  • Process billing and send account-related communications
  • Monitor service health, prevent abuse, and ensure security
  • Respond to support and sales inquiries

Audio data retention

Uploaded audio files and generated transcripts are automatically deleted within 30 minutes of job completion. We do not use your audio to train machine learning models unless you separately opt in to a written data improvement program.

Data location

Transcription is primarily processed in Canada. Depending on capacity and service configuration, processing may also occur in Finland, the United States, or other jurisdictions where our authorized subprocessors operate. Audio uploads and transcription outputs are stored using cloud object storage. EU data residency is on our roadmap.

Third-party services

We use trusted third parties including:

  • Stripe for payment processing
  • Cloud infrastructure providers (including Hyperstack, Verda/DataCrunch, AWS, GCP, and OVH) for compute and storage
  • Authentication providers (Google, Apple) if you choose OAuth sign-in
